Now, that my baby is almost NINE(?!) months old, I wanted to quickly share a few of the things we loved during the first six-ish months. These are things that I would definitely recommend you add to your baby registry because we used them all the time.
I am also working on another post with things we’ve used as he’s grown older & some of the bigger items so be on the lookout for that next week!
Here are some products, we found to be perfect for our baby boy…
- Halo Bassinest – This bassinet is the best. It changes height and it swivels which allows you to bring it right up next to your bed. The side of the bed can be lowered, making it easier to get your baby out. They have all different versions; some that vibrate, play sounds, and have a nightlight, but we just went with this one. It doesn’t have all of the extra stuff but we didn’t need it. Even though, its on the pricier side for a bassinet, we definitely got our money’s worth.
- Ollie Swaddle – Another sleepy time favorite! This swaddle was so easy and safe to use. It has three velcro strips that you attach first and it comes with a loop at the bottom that you tie together to avoid the swaddle going up too high which can cause different issues. It’s also nice because it grows with your baby so you don’t have to worry about buying a different size as they get bigger. If you order here, you can get 10% off!
- Boppy Pillow – I knew I wanted one of these after seeing how much my sister used hers and it really has been so nice to have. During the first couple of months, I used it mostly for support while breastfeeding. As he got older, it has become a pillow for tummy time or a pillow to put behind him as he sits up. It’s something that we’ve used since day 1 and continue to use so I would definitely recommend it!
- Infant Tub – Our sink isn’t the right size for one of those foldable infant bathtubs so this really came in handy. We put this tub in our actual bathtub and because it has a bump in the bottom, even before he could sit up, that bump kept him from sliding down. Something simple and inexpensive that we used for many, many months.
- Activity Gym – This was something that we didn’t register for but we got it as a shower gift and we LOVE it! It started off as our tummy time mat and because the sides all fold up, it has become his ball pit. This activity gym really has grown with him nicely.
I hope this helps! I know baby registries can be very intimidating so if you have any questions on these products or something else, let me know!
