Random Life Things

Hi! I hope you’re doing well 🙂 It feels good to be back! Before I dive into the other few blog posts that I’ve been working on, I thought I’d do a quick life update.

In September, college football season started! We are HUGE Michigan fans, if you didn’t know. So Anthony and I started off the first couple of weeks in Ann Arbor and it was a lot of fun. Not only did I grow up going to games because my Dad has had tickets since way before I was born but the Big House field is where Anthony and I got engaged and where we announced we were pregnant. So we can’t wait to bring Boston! But it was nice to have a couple of days to ourselves. Did I mention that we stayed at the same hotel as the Michigan players so not only did I get to see them AND Coach Harbaugh but we met one of the player’s family and hung out with them for a bit in the hotel? They were super nice and had the coolest Long Island accents.

At the beginning of this month, Boston turned TWO! I can’t even believe it! He is talking allll the time, loves to play baseball, and loves to read. The past two years have been the best as a family of three. Maybe I’m the only one but the days leading up to his birthday were so emotional for me. I love watching him grow up and become his own independent person but sometimes, I just miss my baby!! Anyways, before I start crying again…

To celebrate, we had family and close friends over for his “Oh Two-dles” party. We rented a bounce house and an inflatable obstacle course for the kids (and maybe the adults) and that was so much fun! We also ordered the cutest cookies from Baked With Butter who made his cookies last year as well. (My pictures don’t do the cookies justice so definitely check out her Instagram page!) Other than that, we kept it pretty simple with hot diggity dogs (IYKYK) and just hanging out on a 75 degree day in October in Michigan?!

This is something super random but it’s life lately so here we go. As you know, we got a puppy at the beginning of this year. We love her so much! Boston calls her “Nani guuurl” and it’s the cutest thing ever. But anyways, she has been scheduled for a spay for a while now and it was supposed to be last week Wednesday. Wellllll last week Monday as I took her outside before bed, I noticed she looked a little different. So long story short, I look around and realize that she is in heat. FFFFFFFffffffff! I’ve never dealt with this before and it’s a day before she’s supposed to go in for her surgery. So I called the vet the next morning and they said they can’t do her spay while she’s in heat so now I have to wait until December. It took a few days to figure out what to do with her especially since she tried to eat the doggy diaper that I put on her (ugh) but we figured it out. Needless to say, It’s been a long week and a half…

Here are a couple of pictures of the two best friends!

Onto more exciting things…my 30th(!!!) birthday is next month! A few weeks ago, Anthony tells me he’s been kind of planning something for my birthday with my mom and he wants it to be a surprise but with COVID, he needed to tell me. He planned a trip to Florida for us! So on Saturday, we leave for our first family vacation together and I could cry hahahah. But really, I can’t wait. We are going to be staying in my mom’s condo right on the beach and will just be making meals at home and keeping it super chill. I couldn’t ask for anything better and honestly, I should get back to packing right now. Oopsies.

I hope you have a great Halloween! I’ll be back soon and I’ll continue to be back on Instagram stories 🙂

P.S. GO BLUE! 😉
